Experience
Mr. Zhang rejoined Bain Capital in 2023. He is a Managing Director in the Portfolio Group and a member of the Asian Private Equity team. He was also a member of the Portfolio Group from 2015 - 2018.
Prior to rejoining Bain Capital, Mr. Zhang was the CFO for Momenta, a leading autonomous driving technology company, and the CFO for Niu Technologies, an electric scooter company listed in the US (NASDAQ:NIU). Previously, Mr. Zhang worked as CFO and supervisor on the Board at Hoau Group, a buyout of CITIC Private Equity. Prior to joining Hoau Group, he worked as consultant at the Boston Consulting Group in Beijing on strategy implementation for SOE and local companies. Prior to that, Mr. Zhang worked at A.P.Moller – Maersk Group in various finance and business development functions in Asia and Europe regions.
Education
Mr. Zhang received his MBA from INSEAD and his bachelor's degree in Finance from Peking University.
