Experience

Cara Nelson joined Bain Capital in 2024. She is an Executive Vice President in the Portfolio Group and a member of the European Private Equity team. 

Prior to joining Bain Capital, Cara was a general manager within AB InBev’s venture arm Zx Ventures, building and scaling digital businesses including PerfectDraft and Zé delivery across Europe and the Americas. Ms. Nelson started her career at Boston Consulting Group in their London, Boston, and New York offices, supporting Consumer clients on growth strategy and operational transformations.


Education

Cara received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
