Michel Freund

Experience

Mr. Freund joined Bain Capital in 2015. He is a Partner and a member of the North American Private Equity team. Mr. Freund works extensively in Brazil, supporting Bain Capital local portfolios and assessing new opportunities.  He also plays a leading role in Bain Capital portfolio ‘Growth acceleration’ thinking.

Prior to joining Bain Capital, Michel was at CVC Capital Partners where he was a senior member of the Operations Team. Prior to CVC, Mr. Freund served as an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company where he focused on technology-enabled growth and operational transformations across the FIG, pharma, transport and media industries. Mr. Freund started his career at L’Oréal Group, raised to Vice President Marketing at online outsourcing platform Smarterwork and Vice President Sales and Marketing Americas at software house LocatioNet.


Education

Mr. Freund graduated magna cum laude with a Master's Degree in Commercial Engineering from Solvay Business School in Brussels and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
