Shunsuke Nagae joined Bain Capital in 2026. He is an Associate General Counsel on the Platform Services team, with a focus on Japan Private Equity.
Prior to joining Bain Capital, Shunsuke was Counsel at Clifford Chance's Tokyo office, where he specialized in M&A and joint ventures, engaging in a wide range of domestic and international acquisition and investment matters. He also completed secondments to the firm's Hong Kong office and a major Japanese general trading company, and is well-versed in general corporate legal matters, including technology-related regulations.

Shunsuke holds a JD from the University of Tokyo's Graduate Schools for Law and Politics, School of Law, and an LLM from the University of Warwick.
